My research focuses on the cognitive and behavioral correlates of language and reading learning success. This also covers a wide range of related issues, from etiology and diagnostics to the prevention and treatment of language and reading difficulties. A related topic that also reflects my research interests concerns the effect of orthographic transparency among languages on the development of reading and spelling.
Recently, I gratefully accepted a position (ESR 5) as an early stage researcher within PredictAble, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Innovative Training Networks (ITN). In this project, I will study the relations between spoken language and reading acquisition in children with or without risk for dyslexia.
Besides research, I love cooking and travelling.
